The Ukrainian Justice Ministry has published the bill on the concept of national migration policy in order to study public opinion on this matter, the Justice Ministry's press service reported.
This bill was needed as there is no definition of the state migration policy, the principles of the public agencies’ activities on managing migration, strategic goals, objectives and standards on ensuring the realization of human rights. The current situation does not allow stepping up counteraction to phenomena, which pose a threat to national security, such as illegal migration, worsening demographic crisis, emigration of intellectuals and high-skilled workers from the country.
The bill is called to help coordinate the activities of the governmental agencies on the basis of common principles, and comprehensively and consistently implement the state migration policy, introduce the uniform standards for observance of human rights and freedoms in the area of state migration policy.
