Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, on Sept. 3 said she and her [political] team have helped former economy minister Bohdan Danylyshyn and former State Treasury chief executive Tetiana Sliuz avoid capture by Ukrainian law-enforcement officials.
"We urgently protected him [Danylyshyn], Tymoshenko said on Sept. 3, appearing on the Savik Shuster Live! Television talk show. She added that Tetiana Sliuz, former head of Ukraine’s State Treasury, is also under her protection.
"Sliuz is now on the run. I protected her and will continue protecting her," Tymoshenko said.
Danylyshyn, wanted by police for allegedly abusing power, told the Kyiv Post on Sept. 2 that he is in a hospital outside of Ukraine being treated for an unknown ailment.
