Ukraine is not seeking opponents on the world stage, but it is trying to regain credibility, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.
"We’ve changed the priorities of our foreign policy. Ukraine is not seeking opponents on the world stage. Today we’re seeking a dialog with other countries and trying to win back the trust and authority, respect and support," he said at a national meeting of the Regions Party in Kyiv on Thursday.
Yanukovych said that this was a main goal of his foreign visits. He noted that the issue concerned the maintenance of industrial cooperation, the development of trade relations, and the attraction of new investment.
