The BYT-Batkivschyna faction will initiate the consideration in parliament of the issue of Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov's dismissal for corruption, the chairman of the committee for the legislative support of law enforcement activities, BYT-Batkivschyna MP Viktor Shvets, said at a press conference on Friday.

"The BYT-Batkivschyna faction will initiate in the Verkhovna Rada the issue of the dismissal of Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Yanovych Azarov due to his corrupt activities," he said, adding that all of the necessary materials and documents will be registered in parliament soon.

Shvets said that such an initiative by the BYT-Batkivschyna faction was linked to an article published by an online publication on September 8, which says that Azarov, while heading the State Tax Administration of Ukraine in the late 1990s, was involved in the creation of the Professional charity fund through which a number of real estate objects were purchased in Kyiv, Crimea and western Ukraine in 2000-2004.
