A ceremony to welcome Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has started on the square in front of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine in Kyiv.
As reported, the Guard of Honor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has welcomed the president of Kazakhstan.
During the ceremony, the national anthems of the two states were played, after which Nazarbayev and Yanukovych inspected the guard of honor.
According to the schedule of the official visit, the presidents are to hold bilateral private talks and chair Ukrainian-Kazakh talks on Tuesday. In addition, Ukrainian-Kazakh agreements are to be signed and the presidents will also meet with the media.
On Tuesday, the presidents will lay the flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Glory Park and commemorate victims of the Holodomor famine in Ukraine.
The official visit by the president of Kazakhstan to Ukraine will last two days. On Wednesday, the presidents of Ukraine and Kazakhstan will hold a meeting with Ukrainian and Kazakh businessmen.
