You're reading: Yanukovych creates Council of Experts on Ukrainian-Russian relations

A Council of Experts on Ukrainian-Russian Relations has been created as a consultative agency under the aegis of the Ukrainian president, the president's press service reported on Wednesday.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych signed a relevant decree on October 26, the press service said. Presidential Administration Head Serhiy Liovochkin was appointed the head of the council.

The main tasks of the Council of Experts include drawing up proposals to resolve crucial issues in Ukrainian-Russian cooperation and assisting the work of the Ukrainian agencies of the Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission.
