Kyiv, October 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The results of the October 31 elections to local government won't be declared invalid, says Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn.

"There is no such practice, this is improbable, and it unlikely that the elections may be declared invalid. It cannot be done and it will not happen," Lytvyn said on the Rada TV channel on Friday evening.

The speaker noted that there may be criticism and claims to the elections in separate constituencies and separate polling stations. "However, I insist that we need fair elections," he said.
