You're reading: Police record 16 reports about election violations

Kyiv, October 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The police have recorded 16 reports about the violation of election procedures as of 3 p.m., the Interior Ministry of Ukraine has reported.

Three violations were registered in each of Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions, and two in each of Donetsk and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Six more reports about violations of the election process were recorded in Crimea, Poltava, Rivne, Lviv, Cherkasy regions and Sevastopol.

Among the violations reported were five cases were related to illegal campaigning. The other violations were connected with the loss of, shortage of or damage to ballots, cases of the loss of seals, interference in the work of election commissions, and attempts to remove ballots from polling stations.

The Interior Ministry also noted that three people have died on election day at polling stations.
