You're reading: People’s Party candidate wins Ivano-Frankivsk mayoral race

With 100 percent of the ballots counted, incumbent mayor Viktor Anushkevychus of the Ukrainian People's Party has won the mayoral election in Ivano-Frankivsk.

The city election commission reported this to Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday evening.

Some 27.2% of voters (24,145 people) supported the current mayor at the local elections on October 31.

Leader of the Ivano-Frankivsk Civil Forum, entrepreneur Yuriy Solovey of the Tretia Syla Party is second with 22.48% of the vote (19,950 people). He is followed by the director of Ivano-Frankivsk municipal heat and energy supply enterprise, Ihor Prokopiv, who was running for the Front for Change, with 14.5% (12,872 people).

A total of 3,979, or 4.48% of voters, didn’t support any of the candidates.

The voter turnout at Ivano-Frankivsk mayoral election was 49.53%.
