Parliament on Nov. 19 is to hear a report of the temporary commission for investigation the situation around the ruling of Stockholm Arbitration Tribunal in the case of RosUkrEnergo (RUE) and could send the materials drawn up by the commission to the Prosecutor General's Office.

"On Friday the investigation commission will present its report and terminate its work," said the commission’s head and a member of the Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense faction, Roman Zvarych.

He said that the commission’s work would be terminated, as the terms of its powers would end. However, he also said that parliament could decide to prolong the work of the commission.

"We propose to send all the materials that we have, and we have a lot of them… to the Prosecutor General’s Office," he said.

He added that the commission did not implement its mandate received from parliament – to carry out an investigation into evidence of possible corruption during the issuing of the ruling by the Stockholm Arbitration Tribunal on the payment of a debt to RosUkrEnergo and into the lawfulness of the issue of a ruling to detain former head of the State Customs Service, Anatoliy Makarenko.

Zvarych said that the reason for this was very simple – the Ukrainian SBU has already opened a criminal case to investigate the agreements signed by Naftogaz Ukrainy and Gazprom.

Zvarych said that among materials of the criminal case there is at least one secret document, and that in line with the Criminal and Procedural Code the investigator has the right to classify all materials of the case as secret.

He said that the investigation commission sent around 100 inquiries to various bodies, in particular, ministries and other agencies.

"We always got practically the same answer – that the criminal case is classified as secret," he said.

"We’re in a state of deadlock," he said.

He added that the SBU had not helped the investigation commission to fulfill its duty to the Verkhovna Rada.
