You're reading: Yanukovych reorganizes committees of veterinary medicine, fishery, forestry and land resources

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has reorganized the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine, the State Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service and subordinated them to the Agriculture and Food Ministry.

This is stipulated in the presidential decree on the optimization of the system of central executive agencies that was posted last Thursday on the official Web site of the head of state.

In addition, Yanukovych reorganized the committees for fishery, forestry and land resources and subordinated them to the Agriculture and Food Ministry.

According to the decree, the State Agricultural Inspection was established at the ministry.

As reported, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych issued a decree on the optimization of the central executive agency system, which includes the reorganization of a whole range of ministries and bodies.

In particular, the president ordered the creation of the Agriculture and Food Ministry and the State Agricultural Inspection through the reorganization of the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry. Mykola Prysiazhniuk is to head the new ministry.
