An Interfax-Ukraine reporter quoted Volynets as saying that one of the Regions Party deputies, during the storming of the parliament’s presidium, had hurled the chair, which was used to block the entrance to the presidium, at his head.

"I’ve sustained a serious head injury," Volynets said, showing his bloody hand to reporters.

He said that this Regions Party deputy "was also brutally beating other deputies."

The press service of the BYT-Batkivschyna faction told Interfax-Ukraine that MP Volodymyr Bondarenko had also been injured in the scuffle.

According to the press service, he broke his wrist.
