Valdemar Dziki, the director general of Ukraina Media Group, which unites the assets of the System Capital Management (SCM), the largest financial and industrial group in Ukraine, has left the company, Director of Media Business Development Kateryna Lapshina has said.
" Dziki’s contract terminated on January 31, 2011. During talks, the sides took a joint decision not to prolong the contract, but Valdemar Dziki will continue consulting for the media group, first of all, regarding the issues of the development of its own production and a range of other issues," Lapshina told Interfax-Ukraine.
She said the group has not yet decided on a candidate for a new director general. The supervisory council headed by Lapshina will manage the processes of the formation of the media group until the appointment of a new director general. Financial Director Oleksiy Romaniuta will fulfill duties of the media group’s director general from February 1.
As reported, in October 2010, SCM announced that it had decided to build a media group based on the Ukraina TV channel, which also included the Futbol sports channel, the Donbass regional channel, Mediapartnerstvo and Internet Holding Digital Ventures (the TOCHKA.net portal).
Dziki became head of Ukraina TV Channel in early 2007.
