Bubka: Ukraine's Olympic Committee will sell tickets to 2012 Olympics only through official channels President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Serhiy Bubka has informed the committee's secretary general, Volodymyr Heraschenko, of his suspension due to recent reports about his alleged intention to sell tickets to the London 2012 Summer Olympics on the black market, and promised that all tickets to the event received by the national committee will be sold only through official channels, reads a posting on the committee's Web site.

Ukrainian News: NOC Denies Having Spare Tickets To 2012 Olympics National Olympic Committee President Serhiy Bubka says the NOC has no excess tickets to ХХХ Olympic Games 2012, due to take place in London, UK, reads a statement made by the NOC press service.

"The Ukrainian NOC has no excess tickets to the Olympic Games and all the tickets received will be distributed via official channels only," the statement quotes Bubka as saying.

This statement follows a row sparking around the mass media reports about the NOC general secretary Volodymyr Heraschenko's intention to sell tickets to the London Olympics, assigned to the Ukrainian NOC, to touts.Bubka says he is worried about these allegations and has already initiated an internal investigation.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Bubka on May 22 suspended Heraschenko pending an investigation into the general secretary's presumable willing to sell tickets to ХХХ Olympic Games 2012 at the black market.
