Minsk, June 30 (Interfax) - More than 150 people were detained during silent protest actions in Minsk on Wednesday, according to Belarusian rights campaigners.

Abut 60 people were taken to the city’s Leninsky district police department, about 20 to the Moskovsky police station, about 50 to the Frunzensky district police department and some 40 to the Sovetsky police station, the human rights center Vyasna said on its website. Their passport details were taken.

About 40 people were detained in other cities, the rights center said.

Several hundred people took part in the unauthorized "Revolution Through Social Networks" protest action in Minsk on Wednesday, according to unofficial sources.
