Moscow, July 14 (Interfax) - The death toll from the cruise boat disaster in Tatarstan has increased to 112, the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry told Interfax.
"Divers have lifted the body of one more child, which pushed up the official death toll from the disaster to 112," a ministry spokesman said.
The riverboat Bulgaria sank during a cruise from Kazan to Bulgar.
There were 208 people aboard the ship, according to updated reports.
Seventy-nine of them have been rescued.
"We need one day to make control checks of all the decks for the third time. We plan to complete the full examination of the ship by Thursday noon. After that preparations will begin for raising the motor ship," he said.
