Minsk, July 20 (Interfax) - Belarus Prosecutor General Grigory Vasilevich has disclosed the names of the suspects in the Minsk metro terror attack.

"You have named the suspects on many occasions. It’s an open secret. If you want me to name them, they are Konovalov and Kovlayov," Vasilevich said.

"Both were born in 1986. One of them served in the armed forces and he had his fingerprints taken," he said.

Asked whether the fingerprints had been taken and then lost, Vasilevich said, "His fingerprints were missing in the database. I personally regret that such enormous work done did not allow us to prevent the terror attack."

The law enforcement employee at fault has been established and he will be prosecuted, Vasilevich said.
