CIS countries may switch to payments in national currencies
Nov 21, 2009 at 13:24 | Interfax-Ukraine"During the discussion, everybody paid great attention to an anti-crisis plan, and special emphasis was placed on the use of national currencies in settlements," Kudrin, who presented a report on anti-crisis measures, told journalists.
All the heads of government decided to support this plan, one of the key provisions of which is payments in national currencies in addition to U.S. dollars, he said.
The countries may switch to such payments within the coming years, "on some positions already now and on others in the near future," he said.
