Astana, December 1 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - Kazakh Minister of Agriculture Akylbek Kurishbayev suggests buying a cargo handling facility at a port of the Black Sea in order to expand the grain exports.

"We ought to buy a port or a facility at a port of the Black Sea to get access to other countries and expand our exports," Akylbek Kurishbayev told a Tuesday meeting of the Cabinet in Astana.

As reported, Kazakhstan is building a grain terminal in Iran and planning to build one at the Kazakh-Chinese border.

This year Kazakhstan harvested over 22 million tons of grain in bunker weight. According to the Agriculture Ministry, the current marketing year the republic is ready to export 9-10 million tons.
