Kazakhstan planning to expand grain exports
Dec 1, 2009 at 14:35 | Interfax-Ukraine"We ought to buy a port or a facility at a port of the Black Sea to get access to other countries and expand our exports," Akylbek Kurishbayev told a Tuesday meeting of the Cabinet in Astana.
As reported, Kazakhstan is building a grain terminal in Iran and planning to build one at the Kazakh-Chinese border.
This year Kazakhstan harvested over 22 million tons of grain in bunker weight. According to the Agriculture Ministry, the current marketing year the republic is ready to export 9-10 million tons.
