You're reading: Kazakhstan develops vaccine against A(H1N1) flu

Kazakh researchers have developed a vaccine named Kfzfluvac against the A(H1N1) flu subtype, the Kazakh Education and Science Ministry has reported.

"Now Kazakhstan is among a few countries having their own vaccines against a cunning disease, which can be called a plague of the 21st century," the ministry said in a statement.

The presentation ceremony of the Kfzfluvac vaccine will take place on Monday. Taking part in it will be Education and Science Minister Zhanseit Tyimebayev, member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences Oleg Kiselyov, Kazakh Vice Health Minister Kenes Ospanov, the vaccine’s authors, and others.
