Moscow, May 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The command of Russia's airborne forces are interested in purchasing several dozen Russian-Ukrainian An-70 military transport aircraft.

Russian Airborne Forces Commander Lieutenant General Vladimir Shamanov told this to journalists on Wednesday.

"The state program for 2011-2020 is being completed. The airborne forces have proposed the modernization of the IL-76 aircraft, the modernization and resumption of production of the An-124 Ruslan aircraft, and the purchase of 30 or 40 An-70 airplanes," he said.
