Moscow, July 21 (Interfax) - Russia's veterinary and phytosanitary watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor will ban shipments of meat from a number of companies in Germany, France, Brazil, and Poland effective July 30 due to the detection of prohibited and harmful substances.

The watchdog said shipments of pork jowl from the German company DE EZ 688 EG is restricted due to the traces of salmonella. The French enterprise FR29 293 10 CE is not allowed to ship ground turkey due to the detected listeria.

For these reasonss, pork and poultry meat from the Brazilian companies SIF 3704 and SIF 4430 and beef heart from PL3009020 WE in Poland are being banned, the watchdog said.

The watchdog is tightening control over dairy product shipments from the Polish enterprise PL20131601 WE, where bacteria from the intestinal bacilli group has been found.
