The Emergency Situations' Ministry is starting the evacuation of Russians from Libya by sea to Turkey.

"The Emergency Situations’ Ministry is beginning the second stage of evacuation of Russian citizens from Libya," Interfax was told at the ministry’s information department.

Russians will be evacuated by ferry from the cities of Surt and Ras Lanuf to Turkey and from Istanbul they will be airlifted by ministry’s aircraft to Russia.

Earlier on Wednesday 384 people were airlifted from the Libyan capital Tripoli by four aircraft of the Emergency Situations’ Ministry. Two planes, an Ilyushin Il-62 and a Yakovlev Yak-42, are expected at Moscow’s Domodedovo airport shortly.
