Israel has admitted to arresting and detaining a Palestinian engineer Dirar Abu Sisi,42, who is a deputy director of Gaza’s electric power plant and a Hamas loyalist during a visit last month in the Ukraine where he is applying for Ukrainian citizenship. His abduction to Israel was confirmed after a Tel Aviv district court judge lifted a partial court gag requested by the American Association for Civil Rights in Israel. Abu Sisi, also a Jordanian citizen, was kidnapped as part of an investigation by Israeli military intelligence into his involvement in arms purchases to Gaza, though much of the circumstances of his abduction and custody in Israel will remain under gag order, local media reported on Sunday.
