Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said he will always defend the independence of the Ukrainian media, support independent journalists and do everything to ensure that the case on the killing of journalist Georgyi Gongadze is solved and that those who ordered his murder are punished.
The Head of State noted this in a letter of congratulation on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day on May 3. Read more.
