BRUSSELS - The Ukrainian parliament might be willing to take "extraordinary measures" in the case of jailed opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko if the European Union meets it halfway, the country‘s deputy prime minister said on April 25.

"Normally, it‘s not a rule (to have) a law changed for one person," Valeriy Khoroshkovsky told reporters during a visit to Brussels. "But if all other issues are settled, in this case I think parliamentarians would be willing to take extraordinary measures."
