It is possible to visit Chernobyl in the Ukraine, but for obvious reasons, it’s not exactly a tourist hotspot and you won’t find many travel agents offering package deals there. The nuclear meltdown that occurred there 24 years ago was the world’s worst nuclear accident and an area over 1,000 square miles had to be cordoned off and declared a dead zone.
