BOROVOYE, Kazakhstan (Interfax) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has invited the leaders of Tajikistan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan to coordinate positions so that Russia could represent the collective interests of its partners at a G20 summit in London in April 2009.

"Certain results will be summed up in late March and early April, and a [G20] meeting in London will be held in early April. I would like us to compare notes so that Russia, which will take part in this G20 meeting, could in fact represent our collective interests, because only collective actions can be a response to the current crisis," Medvedev said at an informal multilateral summit in Borovoye, Kazakhstan, on Friday.

The global economic crisis is affecting all economies worldwide differently, Medvedev said. "Some have been affected more and some less, but our economies - the economies represented at this table - are interrelated so closely that changes in one of them will have an impact on the other economies," he said.

"We should coordinate our actions in this situation. I will tell you about the events that have happened of late and in which I have taken part - I mean the meeting of the Group of 20 major economies in Washington," Medvedev said.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said he was interested in this subject as well.

"You have been to Latin American countries, and we are also interested to know about this. Moreover, we know about Russia's recent initiatives regarding a common currency and your initiative on European security, which I personally support," Nazarbayev said addressing Medvedev.
