Warsaw, January 19 (Interfax Central Europe) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel is making Europe more dependent on Russia by giving her support to the Nord Stream pipeline, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski told daily Dziennik over the weekend.

"Merkel is taking care of German business while not taking into account that through this she is making Europe more dependent on Russia," Radoslaw Sikorski said, according to Dziennik.

The German chancellor spoke with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk Friday and made assurances that she supported raw material delivery diversification for Europe, the media reported, adding that Merkel gave her support for the Nabucco gas pipeline.

Merkel then met with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin late Friday and reiterated Germany's support for the Nord Stream pipeline, which is due to link Germany and Russia along the Baltic Sea bed, bypassing Poland.
