MOGADISHU, Dec 29 (Reuters) - Somali pirates hijacked the Panamanian-flagged bulk cargo ship Navios Apollon onDec. 28as it was sailing to India with fertiliser, a maritime official said on Dec. 29.

Andrew Mwangura of the Kenyan-based East Africa Seafarers' Association said the 52,000 tonne vessel was believed to have 19 crew on board, mostly from the Philippines.
