A list of Polish officials killed on Saturday in an air crash of an aircraft of Polish President Lech Kaczynski near Smolensk has been published.

According to the list, which has been forwarded to Interfax-Ukraine, it includes 88 passengers. Names of crewmembers were not published.

Among killed people is Polish President Lech Kaczynski, his wife, Maria Kaczynska, former Polish president-in-exile Ryszard Kaczorowski; the Vice-Marshal of the Polish Senate Krzysztof Putra; the Vice-Marshal of the Polish Senate Krystyna Bochenek; the deputy minister of foreign affairs, Andrzej Kremer; the head of the National Security Bureau, Aleksander Szczyglo; Presidential Secretary of State Pawel Wypych; Undersecretary of State Mariusz Handzlik; the president of Poland’s national bank, Slawomir Skrzypek; the deputy speaker of Poland’s parliament, Jerzy Szmajdzinski; the head of the president’s chancellery, Wladyslaw Stasiak; the commissioner for civil rights protection, Janusz Kochanowski; the chief of the general staff of the Polish army, Franciszek Gagor; secretary-general of the Council for National Memory Andrzej Przewoznik and representatives of ministries and nongovernmental organizations.

A spokesman for Poland’s ministry of foreign affairs said 88 people were on the plane. Russian emergency officials said the total number killed, including crewmembers, was 96.
