The Citibank (Ukraine) created in May, 1998 as a bank with 100 %-s' foreign capital, is affiliated bank of American Citibank – the leading global operator of the market of bank services in management of money resources and trading financing. The bank capital, according to the Association of Ukrainian Banks, for April, 1st, 2003 made 113,73 million hrn., the size of net wealth – 720,28 million hrn. , financial result for the first quarter - 6,699 million hrn.

The Citibank (Ukraine) became the first in the list of commercial banks of Ukraine on the net profit size for the first quarter 2004. It follows from results of Ukrainian banks activity of 132 banks of Ukraine published by the Association in the first quarter 2004. The bank was only the eleventh on the net profit size in 2003, earned 18,582 million hrn. And only for the first quarter 2004 the Citibank already had profit more than for all last year. Besides his leadership on the absolute indicator of profit, the Citibank (Ukraine) with profitableness of the net wealth 1,65 % in the first quarter became one of the most profitable banks, having yielded on this indicator to only "Porto- franko".
