The enterprise with foreign investments "LUKOIL-Ukraine" is formed for creation of the retail network of mineral oil sale in Ukraine in November, 1999.

Having opened "LUKOIL-UKRAINE" branch, "LUKOIL" has finished formation of the closed production cycle in Ukraine: raw materials deliveries, manufacture of oil products, their transportation and sale to an end user.

LUKOIL - one of the largest international vertically integrated oil and gas companies. Principal views of activity of the Company are investigation and oil and gas recovery, manufacture of oil products and petrochemical production, and also production sale. The basic part of activity of the Company in investigation and extraction sector is carried out on the territory of the Russian Federation, the basic resource base is Western Siberia. The basic part of production of the Company is sold in the international market. LUKOIL is engaged in sale of oil products in Russia, Eastern Europe, the CIS countries and the USA.

LUKOIL is the second largest private oil company in the world on the size of the proved stocks of hydrocarbons. The Company share in universal stocks of oil makes about 1,3 %, in the universal oil recovery - about 2,1 %. The company plays a key role in power sector of Russia; on its share there are 18 % of the all-Russian oil recovery and 18 % of the all-Russian oil refining.

As on the beginning of 2005 the Company`s proved oil stocks have made 15 972 million barrels., gas - 24 598 billion cubic feet, that in aggregate makes 20 072 million barrels.

In sector of investigation and extraction LUKOIL has a qualitative portfolio of actives. The basic region of oil extracting of the Company is Western Siberia. Timano-Pechora is new fast-growing region where for last five years the oil recovery has grown more than in 1,6 times. LUKOIL also realises a number of projects in sector of investigation and extraction outside Russia: in Kazakhstan, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Colombia, Venezuela, Iraq.

With putting into operation of Nahodkinsky deposit the Company has begun realisation of the gas program, according to which the gas production will grow the accelerated rates in intermediate term prospect. The resource base for realisation of this program are deposits of the Bolshehetsky hollow and Caspian sea, and also the international gas projects: Каndim – Hauzak – Shady in Uzbekistan and the Shah-Deniz in Azerbaijan.

LUKOIL owns oil refining capacities in Russia and abroad. In Russia the Companies owns four large OPF(oil processing factories) - in Perm, Volgograd, Ukhta and Nizhniy Novgorod, and two mini-OPF. The cumulative capacity of Russian OPFs makes 41,8 million t/year of oil. The Companies` foreign OPF are located in Ukraine, in Bulgaria and Romania, their cumulative capacity makes 16,7 million t/year of oil. In 2004 own factories of the Company processed 44,0 million t. oil, including Russian ones- 35,5 million t.

As of the end of 2004 the marketing network of the Company covers 17 countries of the world, including Russia, the CIS countries (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine), the states of Europe (Bulgaria, Hungary, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Serbia, Romania, Czech Republic, Estonia) and the USA, and totals 199 objects of petrobase economy and 5 405 gasoline stations. The marketing network of the Company in territory of Russia includes 10 organisations of oil products supplying, accomplishing the activity in 59 subjects of the Russian Federation.

The important role in the further development of the company and its expansion in the market of Ukraine the victory in competition on sale of Odessa OPF controlling interest in 1999 has played. Then for the further development of the network the enterprise with foreign investments "LUKOIL-Ukraine" has been created. On November, 16th, 1999 the Enterprise with foreign investments "LUKOIL-UKRAINA" is registered in Starokievskiy regional state administration of Kiev.
