An open joint-stock company "Ukrtelecom" (till January, 5th, 2000 - the Ukrainian state enterprise of telecommunication "Ukrtelecom") – the biggest and the most powerful national operator of telecommunication in Ukraine.

Today the Ukrtelecom is the enterprise which incorporates 32 branches, including 27 regional branches.

As a part of the enterprise vertical organizational structures on the operation of a primary communication network, on the operation of local communication networks and the installation of wireless, on service of consumers and sales of services etc. are created.

Ukrtelecom is a co-founder of some joint ventures which function in the telecommunication market of Ukraine. Among them – Infokom, Utel, Elsakom Ukraine, Telesystems of Ukraine and Telekominvest.

On the volume and the range of services of telecommunication the Ukrtelecom is an indisputable leader in sphere of native telecommunications. The society owns a primary network, main and areal communication lines, gives all kinds of the basic and most modern telecommunication services – the international, long-distance and local telecommunication, wire announcement, radio communication, broadcasting and TV, documentary telecommunication, video conferencing, satellite communication, granting in rent of digital channels, ATM/Frame Relay, ІSDN, access to the Internet.

Ukrtelecom provides with local telecommunication over 9 million subscribers. On a telephone system of the general using 44 automatic long-distance telephone exchanges, including 18 analogue and 26 digital, and also 4 international centres of switching (МЦК) work.

Ukrtelecom – the leader among providers of services of access to the Internet in Ukraine by quantity of clients - both physical, and juridical persons.

Ukrtelecom takes part in international telecommunication projects: ІTUR, TEL, ТАЕ, BSFOCS.
