Commercial bank Privat Bank is one of the most dynamically developing banks of Ukraine and takes leading positions in the bank rating of the country for today. Privat Bank is the important part of "Privat" group – a regional business structure with the centre in Dnepropetrovsk. The control over this group is carried out by Igor Kolomoyskiy, who has taken the third place in the rating of the richest people of Ukraine (by the research results of "Correspondent" magazine, №25/01.07.2006).

At the end of 2005 within the limits of Best Bank Award rating of Global Finance journal the third year without distinction PrivatBank is called "as the Best bank in Ukraine". Global Finance also once again pronounced Privat Bank the best bank of Ukraine, following the results of annual rating Best Emerging Market Banks 2005. In 2006 Global Finance recognises PrivatBank the best bank in Ukraine on World's Best Foreign Exchange Banks 2006 rating. The authoritative international financially-analytical journal "The Banker" has given PrivatBanku a rank "The Bank of Year" by results of conducted research in 2000 and 2002. Another influential journal - "Euromoney" five consecutive years - in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2005 recognises PrivatBank the best bank of Ukraine.

During the research of the bank services market hold by GFK-USM company, 19,8 % of the interrogated inhabitants of Ukraine named Privat Bank the most attractive Ukrainian bank. Privat Bank also has the highest level of recognition among the population and the highest rate of appeal: more than 26 % interrogated people, who know the brand of Privat Bank, consider its services and quality of service as the most attractive. Privat Bank also is the leader among the Ukrainian commercial banks by quantity of clients: its services uses over 16 % of the population of Ukraine.
