In July, 2004 affiliated companies of Gazprombank (Russia) and Raiffeisen (Austria) created "RosUkrEnergo" with registration in Switzerland for deliveries of Turkmen gas to Ukraine till 2028. The business of "RosUkrEnergo" is based on purchase, transit and gas storage, and also deliveries of Central Asian and Russian gas to Ukraine, countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

On February, 2nd, 2006 NJSC(National joint stock company) "Naftogaz of Ukraine" and "RosUkrEnergo" formed a joint venture Joint-Stock Company "UkrGazEnergo" for gas deliveries to Ukraine. 50 % of "RosUkrEnergo" company belongs to the Russian gas monopolist OJSC Gazprom, 45 % - to the Ukrainian businessman Dmitry Firtash, 5 % - to Ivan Fursin.

Since January, 1st, 2006 "RosUkrEnergo" is the exclusive supplier of natural gas to Ukraine.

In 2006 "RosUkrEnergo" delivered to Ukraine for 50,13 mlrd cubic metres of natural gas.

It has the adjusted partner relations with the companies working in following countries: Russia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia.
