Bodelan Ruslan

1992 – April 2005 – Ukraine MP.

August 1998 – April 2005 – Odessa major.

Ruslan Bodelan was born in the family of rural teachers. Graduated from National pedagogic institute in Petropavlovsk and Highest party school of the Central Commission of the Communist Party of Ukraine. Started carrier as a teacher of physical training in rural school. In 1960 began his political carrier as asecretary of the comsomol committee and became the first secretary of the Odessa regional party committee. From 1990 was the head of the Odessa regional sovet.

1992 – 1998 – Ukraine MP. In 1998 was elected to be Odessa major. In 2005 criminal case was instituted against Ruslan Bodelan for the fact of abusing his official position. This year was acclaimed to the international investigation. December 2006 Bodelan returns to Ukraine.

Order of Work Red Flag, Sign of Honour, For Services of 3 and 2 degree, Order of Saint Vladimir 2 degree.

Married, wife Valentina Terentevna (1942) – laboratory assistantat the polytechnic university, daughter Olga (1960) – teacher, school director, daughter Larisa (1970) – teacher, head of kindergarten, son Vladimir (1975) – engineer.
