Tiagnybok Oleg

Born on November 7, 1968 in Lviv.

1998; 2002 – elected Ukraine MP.

Since 2005 – becomes the leader of All-Ukrainian Union Svoboda.

After graduation from the medical institute he worked as a doctor.

Was one of the founders of the Ukrainian Language Comradeship, participant of the Student Brotherhood movement.

1994; 2006 – elected as deputy to the Lviv Regional Council. Ukraine MP of the III and IV convocations from the Social National Party of Ukraine.

Since 2002 – one of the members of the Our Ukraine fraction from which he was excluded for xenophobic and pseudonazi public statements. Prosecutor office of Ivano-Frankovsk region tried to institute criminal proceeding against Tiagnybok for the same violations.

During 2006 elections Svoboda headed by Oleg Tiagnybok didn’t overcome 3% barrier and couldn’t get into the Ukrainian parliament.

He is famous for his intolerance towards Jewish and Russian diasporas of Ukraine and also for comprehensive assertion of the rights of the OUN-UIA (Ukrainian Insurgent Army) participants.
