Yana Klochkova is the fourfold Olympic champion swimmer, Honoured master of sports. The record-holder and the repeated champion of Ukraine, Europe, the world and Olympic games. She became the first woman who has successively won four titles of the champion of Europe. A member of Dynamo society and the sport club of Industrial union of Donbass corporation.
Klochkova started to be engaged in swimming in 1989 under the direction of trainers Nina and Alexander Kozhuh. In 1996 the victory on the European championship among juniors in Denmark on distance of 50 m became the first considerable turn in career of the sportswoman.
Yana Klochkova got education in Kharkov school of physical training and sports then entered Kiev national university of physical training and sports on the Olympic and professional sports faculty. At present the student of Donetsk university of management (correspondence branch).
On summer Olympic games in Sydney in 2000 Klochkova became the double Olympic champion and put two records - the world (a complex, 400) and Europe (a complex, 200).
In 2003 she won the title of the world champion. On the Olympic Games in Athenes in 2004 Klochkova became again the double Olympic champion (200 and 400) and was recognised the best swimmer of the year in the world.
In 2004 Yana Klochkova is awarded with the higher award of the country - Hero of Ukraine.
In spring of 2006 the sportswoman became the deputy of Kharkov city council from the Party of Regions.
Yana Klochkova lives in Kiev since 2002.
