Yurii Boikois theminister of fuel and energy of Ukraine was appointed by corresponding resolution of Verchovna Rada of Ukraine.
Since April 23, 2005 - Boiko isthe head of Republican party of Ukraine.
On the elections in March 2006 was a candidate toa deputy of Ukraine from Oppositional block NE TAK! which represented independent political power on the elections although opinions of its member were a lot in common with political position of the most numerous governing fraction Regions of Ukraine. Such isolation appeared to be unsuccessful strategy of fight to represent itself in the parliament of Ukraine (NE TAK! was able to win only 1,01% of election votes, but not necessary 3%).
Boiko professional activity is strictly connected with his education. Chemical engineer is his first speciality in 2003 he got bachelor diploma of engineer-economist.
He started career as a usual worker in Rubezhansk chemical plant Zorya, as a result he headed the plant as a general director. Yurii Boiko also worked as a chief in AO LysychanskNefteOrgSintez, national corporation Ukrvzryvprom (Kiev), was the head AO UkrTatNafta (Kramenchug) and head of Observatory soviet OAO Ukrtransneft.
Since August 2003 Yurii Boiko was the first vice-minister of fuel and energy in the government of Victor Yanukovich. But he became the most successful on the post of the head of NAK “Naftogaz” Ukraine. Then he returned to the Ministry of fuel and energy in August 2006 as a manager.
In 2004 he got the title “Hero of Ukraine” for the “Prominent private merits before Ukraine in the development of fuel and energetic complex and many years of selfless work”.Yurii Boiko has got 6 children. Vera and Yurii Boiko fosters 3 sons and 3 daughters.
