Vasilii Tsushko was born in the family of common collective farmers. Graduated from Odessa Agricultural Institute, specialty - economist.

Grew from economist to the director of state farm in native village.

1994 -becomes UkraineMP.

Since 1998 – member of theSocialistic Party of Ukraine and Agricultural Party of Ukraine.

2005 -2006- the head of Odessa regional state administration.

December 1, 2006 – September 30, 2007 – Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Member of the Banking and Financial activity Committee.

Was rewarded with Order of Merit (3rd degree).

Married. WifeLudmila Ivanovna is a nurse. They foster 2 children – son Vadim and daughter Alina.
