Since 1998 - first Verchovna Rada commissioner of human rights in Ukraine.

Since 2006 – deputy of Ukraine.

Started her career as a forwarder in Torgmortrans in Kerch. Worked as a juridical consultant of canning union Kerchrybprom.

At first became the deputy of Ukraine in 1994. Then worked as the vice-head of Verchovna Rada of Ukraine Committee of human rights. In 1998 was elected to be the first commissioner of Verchovna Rada of Ukraine of human rights.

She isthe head of the National Coordinating Soviet of people-trade prevention in Ukraine. Wasthe head of the government and parliamentary delegations of Ukraine on the international and European conferences of human rights protection.

Member of the European and International institute of ombudsman. Deputy of Ukraine.

Not married.
