Former Deputy Prime Minister and Advisor to the President of Ukraine.

Born on April 22, 1958 in the village Pogrebishche, Vinnitsa region. In 1980 graduated from Kiev Taras Shevchenko University, Department of Romance and Germanic Philology (specialty - translator-reviewer of English and French).In 1993-1996 received the second higher education at Kiev National Economic University, Department of Finance and Credit (specialty - an economist).

1980-1986 - Inspector, Senior Inspector of Customs in Kiev.

1986-1991 - Translator from English of the company Zakordonnaftobud in the Republic of India.

1992 - head of the currency transactions department at Kievbirzhbank.

1992-1999 -Head of External Relations, Head of International Banking Relations, Director of International Relations department of the National Bank of Ukraine.

1999-2001 -Head of the service of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko .

2001-2002 - Vice-President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank in Thessaloniki (Greece).

2002-2005 -Ukraine MP of IV convocation. A member of the faction Our Ukraine, the chairman of the subcommittee on banking and currency regulation of the VR Committee on finance and banking.

February - September 2005 - Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine on European integration in the first government of Yulia Tymoshenko.

September 2005 - October 2006 - State Secretary of Ukraine, then the head of the Presidential Secretariat of Ukraine.

Since October 2006 - Staff Advisor to the President of Ukraine Yushchenko.

Since December 2007 – freelance adviser.

4 March 2008 by presidential decree suspended from performing duties of a freelance adviser to the head of state.

After the resignation headed the supervisory board of the Foundation Suspilnist and took over as a director of the Euro-Atlantic University, which was dealing with the integration of Ukraine into the EU and NATO.

In 2004 took an active part in the election campaign of the opposition candidate for the President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko and the Orange Revolution.

Member of the pro-president party People's Union Our Ukraine, which is the backbone of the parliamentary bloc Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense (NUNS). The politician is married. His wife Inna is a professional musician. She graduated from the Kiev State Conservatory (class of piano), in the past - a teacher of music school.The couple has two children - daughter Anna and son Stanislav.
