Tigipko Sergey

Born on February 13, 1960 in the village Dragoneshty, Lazovsky District, Moldavian SSR.

1982 -- graduated from Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Institute, speciality - engineer-metallurgist. PhD in economics, thesis "The formation and state regulation of commercial banks in Ukraine" (1996).

1989-1991 -- first secretary of the regional committee of Komsomol.

1991 -- S. Tigipko becomes the Vice Chairman of the board of commercial bank Dnipro.

March 1992 -- Chairman of the new Dnepropetrovsk Privatbank.

1994-1997; 1994-1997 --S. Tigipko is a freelance consultant to the President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma on monetary policy.

April-July 1997 -- vice-prime minister of Ukraine on economic reform in the government of Paul Lazarenko.

1997-1999 -- Vice-Premier for Economic Affairs in the Cabinet of Ministers of Valery Pustovoitenko. Minister of Economy in the government of Viktor Yushchenko.

2000 -- becomes Ukraine MP.

2002 -- gets into the parliament again on the list of pro-president bloc "For United Ukraine!".

Since December 2002 -- the head of the National Bank of Ukraine.

2000 - 2005-- leader of the party Labor Ukraine.

In November 2004 Tigipko quitted politics and focused on the management of its own big business - financial group TAS, which included "TAS-Investbank", "TAS-Komerzbank", "TAS-Businessbank, Insurance Company TAS, a family medicine clinic and a number of other assets.

March 18, 2008 -- first Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko appoints S. Tigipko her adviser.At the same time, a couple with the Premier, he became co-chair of the newly created Council of Investors under the Cabinet of Ministers.

Married. The couple has a daughter Anna (born 1984).The group TAS was called in her honor (Tigipko Anna Sergeyeva).

Hobbies: sports (athleticism, football, tennis, downhill skiing, swimming), reading books.
