Yekhanurov Yurii
Yurii Yekhanurov –Ukraine MP, member of theVerchovna RadaScience and Education Committee.
1998 - became Ukraine MP.
Beforebecoming Prime-minister Yurii Yechanurov worked on different responsible posts. He was vice-prime-minister in Victor Yushchenko government.
In spite of successful career and close relation to the president it was rather difficult for him to become Prime-minister. It took 2 polls to get this post. At first September 20, 2005 it didn’t suffice 3 votes to the necessary 226. September, 22 after the negotiations between Victor Yushchenkoand the heads of the main fractions Yechanurov got 189 votes of 339 present deputies.
The activity of Yekhanurov is estimated ambiguously in media. His ways of problems solution with gas and fuel import to Ukraine and cooperation with Eastern neighbors in this sphere are often criticized.
Yekhanurov is considered to be an experienced administrator and manager but not politician. He is a supporter of economic liberalization and privatization and doesn’t support Yulia Tymoshenko idea of reprivatization.
His wife Yekhanurova Elena Lvovna (1948) is a building engineer, son Dmytrii (1975)is astudent of the Moscow Physic Technical Institute.
