Elena Franchuk was born December 3, 1970 in Dnepropetrovsk in the family of Leonid Kuchma and Liudmila Kuchma.

Elena graduated from Dnepropetrovsk State University, the faculty of economic.

In 1995-1996 worked at the PrivatBank economic department.

In 1997-2004 was working as a deputy director of the marketing director of Kyivstar Telecommunication Company – the first private mobile connection provider in Ukraine.

In 2003 Elena Franchuk founded ANTIAIDS Foundation which at the moment is the biggest non-governmental organization in Ukraine which helps HIV-positive people and AIDS-sufferers.

In 2002 Elena Franchuk married Victor Pinchuk, founder of Interpipe Corporation, one of the largestindustrial group in Ukraine. They have a daughter Catherine (born 2003). Elena Franchuk also has a son Roman from the first marriage.

2003 Elena Franchuk founded ANTIAIDS Foundation. Victor Pinchuk is a co-founder of the ANTIAIDS Foundation.

ANTIAIDS Foundation now is the biggest non-governmental organization in Ukraine which helps HIV-positive people and AIDS-sufferers.

In summer 2007 Franchuk’s ANTIAIDS Foundation organized charitable concert of Elton John in the center of Kiev. On September 2008 ANTIAIDS Foundation brought the legendary QUEEN group to Ukrainian city of Kharkov. The concert taken place at the biggest square in Europe was devoted to the fight against AIDS.

In February 2008 Elena Franchuk set up a new property record in Great Britain. She bought the 5th floor 80 million pounds (159 million dollars) mansion in Kensington, London.

Elena Franchuk takes 83rd position in the rating of TOP-100 most influential persons in Ukraine published in August 2008.
