February 2004 was elected on the post of vice-head of Central Election Commission.

Since December 2004 is a Head of Central Election Commission.

Started carrier in 1965. Was working in comsomol after the army, then as instructor and head of the organizing department in Ternopil regional executive committee and Ternopil regional administration, as senior consultant of the department of the relations with local authorities and local administration of the Verchovna Rada of Ukraine Office.

November, 12, 1997 was appointed to be the member of Central Election Commission, since November, 13 was elected to be the the Secretary of Commission. Since 2004 is a Head of Central Election Commission.
