In 2008 Nadra Bank repeated its own record from five years ago, by getting to the sixth place in its industry based on its assets. As a result, the largest shareholder of this bank, Sergey Lagur, who controls a 33.7% package improved his state of affairs as well. A year ago he possessed a capital at the amount of $500 million, now another $138 million should be added this number.

Lagur is a member of Nadra Bank supervisory board since 2002. In 2005, Lagur entered as a founder into Bank of investments and Savings with his 24.6% package. This financial institution is on the 84th place, or in the middle of the rating of bank assets, published by the Association of Ukrainian banks. This is a minor, but a pleasant thing. Lagur’s partner in this business is another participant of TOP-50 list, a businessman from western Ukraine, Stepan Ivahiv, (#41), owner of business concern Continium. Just as an old Soviet song had it “do not have one hundred rubles, but do have one hundred friends, or better both”.
