But the owner of Stirol business concern does not wait for a favor from Gazprom any more, and just as a true owner, he seeks alternative energy sources. And, he seems to have found them.
In 2007 his business concern announced the building of a factory to produce biodiesel, with the capacity of 40 thousand tons. If Yankovsky succeeds at this project, Stirol, according to the estimates of the businessman, can save one third of its mandatory expenses. But it is not only about saving. The honored president of Stirol dreams of making some money on exporting the biological fuel. Especially since he already arranged as small production of european firewood (biological fuel for in- house heating, heating of summer residences, farms, green houses) made from sunflower seed shells. The capacity is 60 tons of fuel blocks per month. It is not much for Europe, but good income for Yankovsky.
