Eduard Prutnik arranged a serious sale of his assets. He let Alexander Savchuk (#34) get the share of Azovmash holding, let Valeriy Khoroshkovsky (#19) get TV channel NTN. But a 35-years-old businessman did not get poor as a church mouse. Prutnik is able to support his family due to his other businesses such as Central dressing plant Kalininskaya, Shidprominvest, Shidavtotrans, Donbassinvestprom, Vostok-investprom and Ukrbiznesbank, the latter is a giant on the financial market, but based on the volume of its assets, it occupies 87th place out of 160 possible places in the rating by the Association of the Ukrainian banks.
At the end of May, Verkhovna Rada took a minute off from its political battles and dismissed Prutnik, the people’s deputy from the Party of regions from the position of the head of the State committee for TV and radio Broadcasting. It is illegal to combine the mandate of a parliament member with the state official position. Though it is sinful to combine business with a deputy mandate either. But there are way too many such sinners in the Parliament. So, why Prutnik?
